While the world may have a misconception about the party nature and spendthrift attitude of some celebrities, others give us inspiration by doing larger than life acts of charity and humanitarian gestures.
Actress Alankrita Sahai, recently took up the task of bringing a change in the life of the underprivileged and poor. She organized a drive in Punjab to distribute packets of groceries and food to hundreds of people who couldn't afford to buy proper food for their families. She shares her experience of doing this blessed work, " I am glad that life has given me this opportunity to help in anyway I can. Being from a family that has always believed in helping, uplifting others and sharing whatever we had with everyone, this drive has made me further realize how small gestures can go a long way. I'm happy to have been associated with good people and meet these beautiful souls during this drive and I plan and wish to do this a lot more in the future."
