It has been a tough one year for actor Alankrita Sahai, whose father passed away last year suddenly due to a heart attack. She says that the suddenness of it all is what makes it difficult to grapple with the situation.
The actress chose to ring in the new year in a low key silent way as it also collides with one year of her father's passing away.Her father who was a jolly man always gave a helping hand to everyone. There are countless souls he touched and lives he changed. Alankrita attributes everything she has to her father and mother.
Reminiscing about him on his first death anniversary, Alankrita says,"He was just not my father, he was my best friend. I would go to him guy problems, work problems, financial advice. I am here just because of him. He believed in me when no one did. I stood on his shoulders to see the world. My heart sinks to even believe sometimes that i won't see him in person anymore. But he is omnipresent for me. It's been a hard time for all of us.People remember him very fondly. The only thing that keeps me sane is that I have a lifetime of memories with him."
