We have six different seasons in India— spring, summer, monsoon, autumn, pre-winter and winter. While some love spring, many enjoy winter, and there are others who connect with the monsoon more. Actor entrepreneur Nikhil Nanda, who will be seen next in Criminal Minds, shares about his favourite season.
“Spring is my favourite season because I love the greenery around that is visible during this time and you can feel Mother Nature at its best. It feels beautiful as everything around seems alive and smiling,” he says.
The actor then goes on to speak about Mumbai winters, which is usually not chilly. “Winters are good only for a few days. Mumbai hardly gets winter and it’s a good thing because the large number of people below the poverty line who live here, winter takes a toll on them. On the other hand, you need to layer yourself with a lot of clothes which is too much work in itself as well. So I don’t like winters much,” he adds.

Apr 4, 2026Nikhil preferred holiday destination is Goa for it's beauty and the weather. He shares, “The weather there is amazing. I was there during the New Year. If you really want to go somewhere during winters then one should go to Gstaaad in Switzerland, which is a skiing destination and it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world."
Actors in the entertainment industry hardly get any long holidays. Therefore, they mostly opt for short breaks till they get enough time for a long trip.
“People get bored if there are long holidays, so the best thing is to go on short getaways once every 3-4 weeks as it keeps you rejuvenated and you don’t feel the monotony of work. Anything that goes on for too long gets monotonous beyond a point. Keep working hard for a few weeks and keep taking short breaks in between,” he says.

Apr 2, 2026For short break getaways, Nikhil has a few places in mind. “There are Dubai and Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. These places have their own beauty. I have many friends in Dubai so I get to chill there with them. Ochiman city in Vietnam has good weather in itself and has the best service quality. The people there impress you with their hospitality,” he signs off.
