Mumbai: Aamrapali Dubey may be inside the Bigg Boss 20 house today, but the reality show has a rather unexpected connection to how she became one of the biggest names in Bhojpuri cinema. While speaking to her fellow contestants, she revealed that Bigg Boss actually played a role in her becoming an actress.
“I became an actress because of Bigg Boss. Do you know that?” she told them.
Before Bhojpuri cinema, she was already working in television. She had appeared in shows like Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar and Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein. But her big career shift came through a connection that began inside Bigg Boss 6.

Sep 10, 2026As Aamrapali explained, Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, was a contestant on the sixth season of the reality show. Santosh Shukla, whom Aamrapali had worked with on television, was also part of the season.
“Dinesh Lal Yadav came in Bigg Boss season 6. Santosh Shukla was in that season. I worked with Santosh Shukla on television,” she recalled.
She then explained how the two men spoke about Nirahua’s upcoming film. She said, “Dinesh was talking to Santosh Shukla that I am going to make a big film. And I want to bring a debutant in it. Who will be accepted by our industry. He was looking for a girl for Nirahua Hindustani.”
