Mumbai: It was a very emotional experience. There were mixed emotions, on one hand, immense joy in seeing the children healthy and smiling, and the relief and happiness on their families’ faces. On the other hand, I felt deep admiration for the parents who never lost faith in their children despite the severity of the medical challenges they faced. Their resilience and determination were truly inspiring.
How important is it for people to come together and support healthcare initiatives for underprivileged children?
Children are our future, and the better we care for them, the better our world will be. Access to healthcare should not be determined by a family’s financial circumstances. When individuals and communities come together to support initiatives for underprivileged children, they give these young lives a chance to grow, thrive, and contribute positively to society.

I would encourage them to contribute in whatever way they can because every bit counts. More than three lakh children are born with congenital heart disease every year, and many families struggle to afford the treatment they need. The more people who come forward to support such causes, the more children can receive life-saving care and a chance at a healthy future.
