Actor Arhaan Khan is now looking forward to getting back to work after spending years away from the television spotlight. His appearance on Bigg Boss 13 brought him into the headlines, with his relationship with Rashami Desai becoming a major talking point. Revelations about his past marriage and fatherhood also brought his personal life under public scrutiny. After the show, he chose to step away and focus on himself.
The actor, who has been part of shows like Fanaah and Badho Bahu, says he needed that time away. “I didn’t disappear; I simply stepped away from the noise. After Bigg Boss, I moved to Dubai and spent a considerable amount of time working on myself, understanding what I wanted from my career and, more importantly, the kind of person I wanted to become. I felt it was important for me to rebuild myself, not as a contestant, not as a controversy, not as somebody’s partner, but as Arhaan Khan.”
Talking about his experience on the reality show, he says, “Bigg Boss was an extremely intense chapter of my life. I could have constantly explained myself and tried to correct every narrative that was being created around me, but I chose not to. Sometimes, silence isn’t an admission; it’s simply a decision to protect your peace. I always believed that if I had something to say, I would say it at the right time, in the right space and with the maturity that comes with time. And I think that time is now. I want to do some good work and I am totally focused on that.”

Oct 16, 2026Arhaan feels that people should not be judged by one phase of their lives. “I don’t think a reality show can define an individual for the rest of his life. What people saw on television was a particular chapter edited through a particular lens. I have never claimed that I was perfect. Eventually, your character is not defined by one controversial chapter; it is defined by how you conduct yourself after that chapter. And if anything, Bigg Boss made me stronger,” he shares.
While he has stayed away from reality television for years, Arhaan says he has received offers to return. However, he would want to approach the show differently if he ever decides to participate again. “I have received multiple offers to return to reality television over the years. But if I ever enter Bigg Boss again, I wouldn’t want to enter simply as a former contestant trying to recreate an old chapter. I would want to enter as the person I have become today. There is also something unfinished there because I never really got the opportunity to present my entire perspective in the way I would have wanted to. I would walk in with a very different version of myself and perhaps a story that people have never heard from my side,” he says.
Having experienced a difficult phase in his personal life, Arhaan says his outlook on relationships has also changed. He believes that his experiences have made him more careful about what he chooses to share publicly, but they have not changed his faith in love.

Oct 16, 2026“I don’t think a few difficult experiences should make you cynical about something as beautiful as love. But I’ve also understood that love isn’t just an emotion. It’s responsibility, trust, respect, friendship and the ability to protect each other’s peace. We’re living in a digital age where something said in a moment can become a headline within seconds and a narrative within minutes. So, this time, I’d rather let my personal life be something I experience rather than something I explain,” he concludes.
