Mumbai: Indian-American Actress and M4M Heroine Jo Sharma received the NAFA Recognition Award from renowned legendary Marathi Actor Ajinkya Deo during the 3rd NAFA North American Film Association Marathi Film Festival, held in San Jose, California, from August 7 to 9, 2026.
Jo Sharma walked the NAFA red carpet and accepted the award at the media lounge. The three-day festival brought together several prominent personalities from Marathi cinema, including Rohini Hattangadi, Ajinkya Deo, Mahesh Kothare, Girish Oak, Shruti Marathe, Atul Kulkarni, Nagraj Manjule, Prasad Oak, Manjiri Oak, Trupti Bhoir (Paro) and Sai Deodhar (Na Aavadti Goshta).
The festival featured a glamorous red carpet, film premieres, masterclasses, Meet & Greet sessions, M4M-2 Movie Auditions and engaging interactions with artists, giving Marathi audiences across America an opportunity to connect with their favourite stars. It also showcased a curated selection of international short films, highlighting emerging and diverse filmmaking talent from around the world.
