Mumbai: Can ego ever become bigger than love? That piercing question lies at the heart of Main Na Raha Mera, an emotionally charged romantic musical starring Adhyayan Suman and Divita Rai, Miss India (2023) who is being introduced in the film.
The film’s first motion poster opens with a haunting voice asking, “Kya guroor ishq se bada ho sakta hai?”immediately drawing audiences into a world shaped by love, longing, heartbreak and ego.
At its core, Main Na Raha Mera tells the story of Raj, a boy whose idea of love is shaped by the timeless romantic films of the ’90s. After losing his Simran to a one-sided love, destiny brings them face-to-face after twelve years, forcing Raj to battle between a heart that never forgot her and a mind that still remembers the pain.

Marking her debut with Main Na Raha Mera, Divita Rai says the layered nature of the love story is what drew her to the project, “My character experiences emotions that are layered, some beautiful and some really difficult, and discovering that space as an actor has been really special. I hope audiences connect with the character’s journey and see something of their own emotions in it.”
Created by Adhyayan Suman, produced by Dharmesh Sangani and directed by Amit Kasaria the film’s teaser will be unveiled on 16 September 2026.
