The stage of The Theatre at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi came alive on the evening of June 20 at 7:00 PM, as the capital witnessed a spectacular tribute to the golden decades of Bollywood in “Twinkle Toes Part 2.” Conceived, written, directed, and performed by the multi-faceted Aviekal Kakkar, the multimedia presentation was a rich tapestry of music, movement, and memory, celebrating Bollywood’s dance and music styles from the 1980s onwards. The event, produced by Sohaila Kapur and Anuradha Dar under the banner of A Three Arts Club & Katyayani Production, drew an enthusiastic audience that was visibly moved by the visual and performative extravaganza.
At the heart of this grand celebration was Aviekal Kakkar, the show’s creative force and lead performer. A celebrated actor, choreographer, and singer, Kakkar captivated the audience with his magnetic stage presence and unmatched versatility, effortlessly weaving narrative and performance into an unforgettable evening.

Apr 12, 2026Immersed in the performing arts since the tender age of four, Kakkar—from a distinguished musical lineage—has carved an illustrious path in Indian theatre and television. He has been part of acclaimed plays like Mahim Junction, Meera, and Ek Do Teen and has lit up television screens with memorable performances in serials such as Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Pyar Ke Do Naam, Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshani, Palki, and MTV Fully Faltoo.
His cinematic contributions include roles in Humdum and Aasha Kiran, while his choreographic brilliance has graced films like Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa and Socha Na Tha, along with television shows and high-profile commercial campaigns for Amul Milk, Thumbs Up, and Fiat Palio.
Trained in Kathak under the legendary Pt. Birju Maharaj, and in Ballet and Jazz under the guidance of Ashley Lobo, Stacey Fernandez, and Fernando, Kakkar has also founded the Ace Dance Academy, a premier Jazz dance school that was among the first of its kind in India.
