The Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday May 7 launched Operation Sindoor hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Actress Rozlyn Khan shares her take on this and says,”It’s definitely a positive step. India is responding firmly to the Pahalgam attack by targeting militant hideouts and taking action against those responsible. However, we must also be realistic that India is not in a position to declare or sustain a full-scale war at this time.”
She adds, ”The country’s financial condition is already under severe strain. Fiscal deficit targets are being stretched, unemployment remains high, and inflation especially in food and fuel continues to hurt the common citizen. The Rupee has weakened, foreign investor confidence is fluctuating, and the government is grappling with rising public debt.”
Rozlyn also shares what should be the priority to a country. She says,”Before contemplating any escalation, our priority should be to strengthen internal security, modernize our armed forces, and reinforce border infrastructure. Strategic responses must be backed by economic strength. A stable and self-reliant economy is the real foundation of national security. I have full support and regards to my army and praying hard that no innocent should get killed from our country. This time I feel like the red on the forehead is not just a tradition but also a warning.”
