The Bollywood scene is buzzing with drama as the talented director Sandeep Reddy Vanga seems to have taken a subtle jab at the beloved Deepika Padukone. What sparked this controversy? It appears to be the rumored exit of Padukone from Vanga's upcoming film "Spirit," which features Prabhas in the lead role.
Vanga's fiery post on X (formerly Twitter) has left fans and industry insiders in shock. While he didn’t mention Padukone by name, he accused an unnamed actress of breaking the trust that should exist between a storyteller and an actor. He criticized her for allegedly belittling a younger actor and sidelining his narrative, questioning if this behavior truly reflects her version of feminism.
In his post, he expressed: “When I share a story with an actor, I invest my complete trust. There’s an unspoken agreement between us. But by doing this, you’ve revealed who you really are… Diminishing a younger actor and dismissing my story? Is this what your feminism represents? As a filmmaker, I pour years of effort into my craft, and for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t understand. You won’t understand. You’ll never understand.”

The situation escalated after reports surfaced that Deepika Padukone had stepped away from "Spirit" due to creative disagreements, particularly concerning her requests about shooting hours and contract terms. Sources close to the production claimed that Padukone's team sought changes to her contract, asking for additional compensation for shoots that would exceed 100 days.
The repercussions were quick, with T-Series announcing Triptii Dimri as the new lead opposite Prabhas. Although neither Padukone nor her team has confirmed her exit, the buzz around this casting change has taken over entertainment news.
