“While some may view Independence Day as just another holiday, I believe our sense of patriotism can be both symbolic and sincere,” Aadesh reflects. “Social media posts, tricolour displays, and patriotic songs do have their place—they can stir emotion and create a shared sense of pride. For Aadesh, the way to truly honour the day is to go beyond surface-level celebrations. “We should use this time to reflect on our country’s history, appreciate its diversity, and ask ourselves what role we can play in making it better,” he says. “Every citizen—no matter their profession—has a responsibility to contribute, whether that’s by being honest in our work, helping our communities, or simply treating one another with respect.”

His ability to unite millions without raising a weapon is something the world still needs to learn from. He showed us that leadership is about serving people, not ruling over them.”
As India celebrates its 79th year of independence, Aadesh’s message is a call to unity and action. “Let’s celebrate our nation’s incredible diversity and acknowledge the sacrifices of the men and women who gave us this freedom,” he says. “But celebration must be paired with responsibility.
