Nani had every reason to feel optimistic about The Paradise before it hit theaters, but unfortunately, the box office results have been a letdown. The action drama wrapped up its theatrical run with around Rs 159.50 crore globally, which is quite a bit below the high hopes set by its impressive opening and the buzz leading up to its release.
In India, the film raked in about Rs 130 crore, while international markets added nearly Rs 30 crore to the total. On the surface, those figures might seem respectable, but the real issue was the steep decline in ticket sales after the opening weekend. Initially, audiences flocked to see it, but the film struggled to keep that momentum going.

The Paradise debuted with a lot of fanfare, especially since it marked the reunion of Nani and director Srikant Odela after their successful collaboration on Dasara. This pairing had raised expectations, and many viewed the film as a significant project for Nani. However, that initial buzz didn’t carry over into sustained interest in the days that followed.
Bigg Boss 20 Gets Its First Wild Card In Manish Goel, But Another Entry Could Shake Up The House
Oct 11, 2026It seems that poor word of mouth played a crucial role in the film's decline. A strong opening can give a movie a great start, but it really needs viewers to spread the word if it wants to maintain its box office strength throughout the week. While The Paradise held its ground during the first weekend, the collections took a nosedive soon after.
The Telugu states were its biggest market, contributing around Rs 103.50 crore, with Rs 59.25 crore coming from Nizam alone. Karnataka added roughly Rs 11 crore, while Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the rest of India brought in smaller sums. Internationally, the film earned about 3.1 million dollars, with the United States accounting for nearly 1.95 million dollars.
For Nani and Srikant Odela, these final figures serve as a reminder that a big opening doesn’t always mean a successful run at the box office. Their previous collaboration had set high expectations for this reunion, but The Paradise couldn’t keep the excitement alive once audience feedback started to influence its box office performance.
