Maharashtra, July 2025 — Amid rising tensions over the Marathi language controversy in Maharashtra, noted writer,socialist and philanthropist Raj Jagatsinh has taken a strong stand against divisive politics based on linguistic identity. Condemning the actions of certain political groups, Jagatsinh stated, “Mumbai is not anyone’s ancestral property. People from across the country come here with dreams — no one has the right to crush those dreams over a language issue.”
He warned that political hooliganism will not be tolerated, asserting that such tactics are an attempt to fracture national unity. “We will not allow dirty politics on the basis of language. Hooligans will not be spared. India needs to rise above linguistic barriers and focus on building a united future,” he said.
To support individuals facing discrimination over language, Raj Jagatsinh announced a dedicated helpline that will offer assistance to affected people in Maharashtra. He also urged talented sportspersons and actors from all states to connect with his organization for support and swift resolution of issues. “This kind of divisive politics affects the poor, underprivileged, and youth the most. It’s an attempt to break the nation — and that will not be tolerated,” he asserted.
