Drishyam 3 is already making waves at the box office, even before it hits theaters. The much-anticipated film starring Ajay Devgn has kicked off advance bookings with a fantastic response, selling around 35,000 tickets across major cinema chains nationwide.
Advance sales began on Saturday, and the initial buzz has been quite impressive. Multiplexes are leading the charge in ticket sales, while smaller cinema chains are also experiencing a healthy demand.

By the end of the day, national chains could see ticket sales soar to about 45,000. This momentum is particularly noteworthy since Stree 2 had a similar advance booking trend at this stage before its release in 2024, ultimately debuting with around 50 crore net on Independence Day.

Oct 16, 2026Drishyam 3 has an added advantage this time around, as higher ticket prices could boost its gross collections, even if the number of tickets sold remains similar. Plus, the film is set to release on a major national holiday, which should significantly enhance foot traffic on opening day.
Current trade estimates suggest the film's opening day collection could land somewhere between 50 and 60 crore net, with 55 crore net being the most likely figure. If the advance booking momentum keeps up in the coming days, that number could rise even further.
The excitement isn't just confined to India, either. Drishyam 3 is reportedly generating a strong response in international markets, hinting at a potentially massive overseas opening for Ajay Devgn.
For a franchise known for its suspense, family drama, and a plot that keeps viewers on their toes, the robust advance bookings have added an extra layer of anticipation. Now, the big question is how far this early momentum will carry once the film finally premieres.
One thing is for sure: Drishyam 3 has kicked off its box office journey with a lot of buzz, and the countdown to its opening day has become even more thrilling.
