Worship of the Peepal tree is of utmost importance during Sarvapitri Paksha, as it is believed that the souls of ancestors reside within these trees. Offering water to the Sun and Peepal trees is considered a sacred practice. During Sarvapitri Amavasya, this tradition extends over two days, allowing devotees to worship the Peepal tree anytime between 9:51 am on October 13th and throughout the day on October 14th.
