The 7th edition of The Artisan Jewellery Design Awards, hosted by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), brought together designers to showcase their innovative designs integrating unusual materials and cherished objects. Actress and style icon Sonam Kapoor graced the event, presenting awards to winners alongside notable personalities from the industry.
The theme for this year's awards, 'Objet Trouvé' (Found Objects) and 'Unusual Materials,' challenged designers to infuse their pieces with unique identities by integrating treasured objects from the past and combining contrasting materials with at least 50% precious materials, respectively.
Speaking at the event, Sonam Kapoor praised the jewellery industry for showcasing India's excellence in design and craftsmanship. She emphasized the importance of nurturing and celebrating young talent pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the industry.
