Entrepreneur and actor Nikhil Nanda emphasizes the importance of exercise for self-care, both physical and mental. With the fast pace of our lives, we often forget to take care of our body, leading to poor fitness. Nanda, who will be seen in the upcoming web series Criminal Minds, stresses the need to engage in sports as a form of exercise and social engagement.
Nikhil believes that sports are an integral part of our lives, and we should take up some sport to stay healthy. He suggests team sports like cricket, football, basketball, or badminton, which not only help in physical fitness but also boost social interaction. In addition, he advises practicing yoga, which is one of the best forms of exercise to relax the body.
“Man is a social animal, and sports other than being a form of exercise or fitness is the best method to engage socially with your peer group, friends, and family,” he says. He also points out that we have stopped playing old sports with friends, which is another way to stay fit and enjoy social interaction.
Apart from physical fitness, Nanda also stresses on mental fitness. “We need to take care of our mental health by engaging in activities that relax our mind and help us de-stress,” he adds. Nanda believes that sports and yoga are excellent ways to achieve both physical and mental fitness.
