Sameer Patil, who is currently seen as Gopal in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Tumm Se Tumm Tak, which is produced under the banner Studio LSD, feels it’s important to add new twists to a show. He believes that it not only elevates the story but also enhances an actor’s performance.

He said, “These twists really pump up the energy. When the story suddenly changes direction, it automatically reflects in the performance. The pace becomes sharper, and emotions get more intense, so you’re constantly on your toes. It keeps the scenes alive and prevents them from feeling repetitive.”

He mentioned that it makes the character more demanding as well as exciting. He said, “They definitely make the character more exciting because you get to explore new layers, but at the same time they’re demanding. As an actor, you have to justify the turn emotionally and mentally so it feels real and not forced.”

During those scenes he focuses a lot on the character’s mindset. He said, “Even if the turn is sudden for the audience, for the character it has to feel organic. I usually spend time reading the script, understanding the intention of the scene, and then reacting instinctively rather than overthinking it.”

Sameer enjoys performing emotional twists the most. He said, “Those moments where the character is conflicted or vulnerable really challenge you as an actor. Dramatic and shocking twists are fun too, but I think the emotional ones stay with the audience longer.”

And he feels it’s extremely important for an actor, especially in a daily soap, to be adaptable. He said, “Scripts change quickly, scenes evolve, and sometimes you get surprises right before the shot. Staying adaptable helps you perform honestly without getting stuck in one version of the character.”

What next? “Viewers can expect a complete rollercoaster ride! There will be strong emotions, unexpected decisions, and relationships being tested. The upcoming track will definitely keep everyone hooked,” Sameer ended.
