March 8 is celebrated around the world as International Women’s Day, a day to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women to society. Actor-entrepreneur Sneha Namanandi shares her thoughts on the significance of the occasion and what it means to her.

For Sneha, Women’s Day is an opportunity to appreciate the accomplishments and sacrifices that women make every day. She believes that rather than trying to fit women into a man’s world, we should strive to create a world where both masculinity and femininity have equal roles to play.

“I celebrate everyday things like buying a coffee, makeup, and going for shopping,” says Sneha. “We must create a world where the masculine and feminine have an equal role to play.”

As a woman, Sneha believes that it is a privilege to be born from a woman and to have the power to bear a child. She has been inspired by the strong and independent women in her family, from her grandmother to her mother to her aunt. Their gentleness, compassion, and strength have taught her the art of not giving up easily, and she is proud to belong to such a family.

Sneha acknowledges that men also face pressures in our society and believes that both genders should be celebrated and appreciated every day. While men do have a day to celebrate their achievements, Sneha believes that the sacrifices and gentleness that women bring into the world cannot be compared to anything. She encourages everyone to acknowledge and celebrate womanhood every day.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let us remember the contributions that women make to our lives and society. Let us strive to create a world where both genders are valued equally, and where everyone has the opportunity to succeed regardless of their gender.
