Mumbai: Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr’s romantic comedy Ginny Weds Sunny 2 is released in cinemas on April 24. It marks the return of Hindi cinema to small town and rooted stories brimming with humour and innocence, which faded away in between. In this film, there’s an actress who’s made her debut and was called the 'surprise element' in the film playing the role of a thief, who changed Avinash's character forever in the film. Her name is Himannee Aarya Bhatia, an actress from Delhi.

Himannee did her B.com honours from Sri Venkateswara College (Venky College), Delhi University. She was recruited from her campus at the company often called one amongst the 'Big four', KPMG. She had made a very successful corporate set up for herself, and also studied law during her days as a consultant, but the childhood dream of being an actor was always in her. She never had anybody in her family from acting or creative arts, and a complete outsider from Delhi. During the pandemic, she actually forced her parents to give auditions to understand her work better, and they ended up getting a show. Since she was a child, she always wanted to be an actor and loved the stage.

She used to dance on Bollywood songs and act like other actresses. Even in that state, her grandmother would smile. That was the time when she realized that the power of art can move mountains. During school, she was asked to recite a poem and she ended up singing 'Maine Payal Hai Chankai' by Falguni Pathak and danced, making it clear to the world she is born to perform.
The first role :
Her first role was that of a sunflower. And this was the time when she was only four years old. She loved people seeing her. She was also into writing. Her journey began during her school days. Theatre has always been her first love. She had also written a short film during her days at KPMG and also doing theatre in Delhi. The name of her short film was Act Normal, which won many awards, including the Dadasaheb Phalke International Award in the Top short film category. She wrote that film and even acted in it and put it on YouTube. That was the time and people encouraged her to be in the acting profession.
