Govinda Incurs Into Politics
Eknath Shinde has provided Govinda with an official induction into the party. According to the actor, Mumbai appears better and cleaner under Eknath Shinde's leadership. He also disclosed that Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena, and his parents got along well. He went on, "It is a blessing from God that I am joining the Shiv Sena. I had assumed that I would never run for office again.
Govinda has made his comeback to politics after a long hiatus. Actor has joined Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena on Thursday, March 28. He is likely to contest Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from Mumbai North West. In 2004, Govinda had contested from Mumbai North Lok Sabha on a Congress ticket and defeated BJP's Ram Naik. Later, he resigned from the party and took a break from politics.
