Mumbai: Some meetings and projects may simply become part of an artist’s professional journey, while others leave a lasting impact on the way they think and approach their work. For actress and performer Revati Mahurkar, working with singer and actor Harddy Sandhu on the music video Tevar was one such memorable experience. During the project, a simple piece of advice from Harddy became an important career mantra for Revati.
Hardy Sandhu told Revati, “Always be selective about your work and work only with good artists.” According to Revati, this advice completely changed the way she looked at choosing projects and co-stars.
Revati recalls that Harddy and his entire team always treated her with equal respect. She describes Hardy as a genuine and creative person who does not believe in playing games with people or power. This, she says, is one of the reasons why Tevar continues to remain among her favourite projects.
The experience became even more special as the team spent time together after a continuous 48-hour shoot. Sitting together late into the night, talking, sharing food and enjoying music created memories that Revati continues to cherish.
For Revati, the learning and relationships she gained from Tevar are more valuable than the success of the project itself. Even today, she keeps Harddy’s advice in mind, choosing to value quality over quantity and focusing on projects that are meaningful and creatively fulfilling
