Mumbai: Actor Palash Dutta who was heart broken since the news came out about Asha Tai's passing away. Being a huge admirer of her style of singing , he had gone to residence to pay his tributes and respect to the legendary singer Asha Bhosle Tai.
Palash says, " I did not want to miss this oppprtunity and my eyes were moist looking at body Asha Tai as she was laid to rest.. her face had such a beautiful smile and a serenity and aura which will be difficult to come to terms with for all her fans and admierers all accross the world'. There were many Bollywood celebrities like Jackie Shroff, Poonam Dhillon, Helen ji, Tabu, and many more and so many popular singers like Shaan, Anuradha Paudwal, Udit Narayan, Talat Aziz , Sudhesh Bhosle, Papon all of who were mourning and devasted loosing a gem and a national treasure of the music industry .
Palash fondly remembers Asha Tai when he met her a year ago at a film premiere briefly . He say, "i am truly blessed to have met Asha Tai in this lifetime just for 20-30 seconds and told her that how i am a huge fan of her singing and i had danced to her songs in school and society functions. I also told her that i took training in Rabindra sangeet and Bhatiali bengali singing when i was a child. " She was delighted to hear this and replied "Pancham ( R. D. Burman) bhi gaate thay" I also told her that i am taking Hindustani classical music trainning from Suresh Wadkar jis acamdey n she replied "bohot acche"
Apart from her extremely unique n world class singing skills, her pearls of wisdom which she gave through her interviews will have a lasting impression on me for a long time.
With teary eyed and a heavy heart i bid her a final farewell but she will remain immortal in our lives through her singing and velvety n silken voice! May her pious soul rest in everlasting heavenly peace. Om Shanti
