Mumbai, 3rd October 2023: Knot: A Media club of Kishinchand Chellaram college, Mumbai, organized a special screening of the film ‘2018: Everyone is a Hero’ on Tuesday after it received an oscar nomination earlier this week. The event was organized under their Film club, 70mm. The screening was followed by detailed discussions on themes, relevance, techniques and other aspects of filmmaking. Knot Club’s effort to discuss the art of filmmaking freely has also been acknowledged and appreciated by the team of '2018: Everyone is a Hero' including its cast, and its production house.
The Oscars wave has taken over India as the Malayalam film 2018: Everyone is a Hero has been nominated for the Best International Feature Film category. ‘2018: Everyone is a Hero’ is a film depicting the floods of 2018 in Kerala. It covers different people from different walks of life unifying against the natural calamity. With the announcement of its nomination, The craze of the film has definitely reached the masses; especially young students. To promote discussions about cinema that is not mainstream among budding media professionals was a prime goal of this screening.
Being the pioneering year of the club, multiple events have been organized under the club; including freshers, film screenings, open-mics, and more. Kishinchand Chellaram college is a part of HSNC University. The media department of the Kishinchand Chellaram college has been enthusiastic about learning through innovative and engaging methods.
