Diljit said of Amar Singh Chamkila, "Chamkila ka naam hum kitne time se sun rahe hai. As a musician, I find it difficult to believe that Punjab is home to more musicians than any other place, even though Chamkila is the hardest to follow. We have to follow the composition, that's for sure. (Chamkila's name has been around for a while. As a musician, I believe that all artists in Punjab, and even outside of Punjab, still adhere to Chamkila. They continue to adhere to his compositions."
