Shabana Azmi Receives Excellence Award

Lange expressed her excitement about this new chapter in IFFM's journey as the festival celebrates 15 years of groundbreaking cinema.

My Melbourne: A Groundbreaking Film Series

This year, IFFM will premiere "My Melbourne," a groundbreaking film series set in Melbourne with a local cast and crew. Mentored by globally acclaimed filmmakers Rima Das, Kabir Khan, Imtiaz, and Onir, the series comprises four stories celebrating diversity within the LGBTQAI+ community, disability, race, and gender. With the motto "a film with you, about you, and for you," the series aims to authentically reflect the lived experiences and heartfelt stories of the community.

In collaboration with Vic Screen and Screen Australia, "My Melbourne" is a significant step towards representing diverse narratives authentically. As IFFM continues to evolve, it remains committed to fostering inclusivity and providing a platform for voices that deserve to be heard.
