A personal breakthrough comes when she travels alone to New York for her niece’s wedding and enrols herself in a conversational English course. She soon regains the confidence that had been undermined, makes new friends, and takes her family by surprise by giving a toast in perfect English. The film reminds us to value our loved ones and not demean them for superficial reasons. Directed by Gauri Shinde, it also stars Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nebbou and Sujata Kumar.

This gem of a film is not just about a young couple struggling to create a life of their own in a stifling joint family but also about the grit and talent of unsung Indians. They then decide to live with each other's families for three months and what follows is both eye-opening and entertaining. The message the film delivers in a lighthearted manner is that tradition must learn to evolve and keep pace with changing times.
