The path which leads many actors to the silver screen is never easy for them. Puja Sharma, who is making her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Mission Grey House’.
Puja Sharma came to Mumbai for her CA final second group exams, but her destiny led her to the Entertainment Industry. But, on the day she decided to walk on this road, her father stopped talking to her or taking her calls.
Revealing about it, Puja said, “When I came to Mumbai, for quite a long time my father didn't talk to me or take my calls. I can understand being a father he was worried, he was knowing only those things which were shown on television and he felt that industry is too bad and he was not sure about how I will survive in it. As we had no links in industry he was more worried. So he was like first complete your CA, don't leave it half. I always had that thought in mind that if I came here I have to prove myself and make him proud.”

Jun 11, 2026Hailing from a small town in Cuttack from Odisha, Puja has done many ad films, popular television shows like Choti Sardarni, Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah and Web series like Johri and Dus June Kii Raat.
Recently her debut film ‘Mission Grey House’ trailer was launched and the film is all set to hit the big screen on 17th January 2025. During the event, Puja had a video call with her family members so that they could be a part of her special day.
“I felt really good after watching myself in my trailer and this is a really special feeling which I can not express in words. Everyone was happy seeing that, especially my father who said “this is your year, 2025 is going to be your year. He is so excited that he is sharing all my teaser and trailer videos in all his social media groups, friends, family, neighbours and even in our community groups,” she said while talking about her family's reaction after watching the film’s trailer.

My father who was not talking to me at one point of time is now motivating me, when I get some self doubt and ask him papa I left my CA and what is my career doesn't do well? He says you have done well so far and I am sure that you will make your way ahead so don't worry everything will be fine,’ Puja Sharma concluded.
Mission Grey House also stars debutant actor Abeer Khan, senior actors like Raza Murad, Kiran Kumar, Rajesh Sharma and Aamir Khan's sister Nikhat Khan.
