“I Believe in Old-School Love—Long Conversations, No WhatsApp, Just Real Moments” – Namita Lal

“I Believe in Old-School Love—Long Conversations, No WhatsApp, Just Real Moments” – Namita Lal

Valentine’s Day is often associated with romantic love, but for Namita Lal, love isn’t just about one person—it’s about cherishing all the special connections in life. “Valentine’s Day for me is not just about that one love, that one boyfriend, one partner, one husband. It’s a day of love for everybody that you feel close to,” she shares. Whether it’s best friends, family, or even colleagues, Namita believes in spreading love in all its forms.

Her tradition? Sending flowers to her closest friends, celebrating the bonds that make life beautiful. “I’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day with my best friends, my girlfriends. And it’s been wonderful.”

Reflecting on the old-school charm of love, she reminisces about a time when deep conversations happened over long phone calls, rather than instant messaging. “Now coming to one single individual, yes I do believe in the old school love where there were long conversations on the phone. There were no FaceTime or WhatsApp videos—just face-to-face meetings over coffee or dinner. Those were special moments.” While technology has made love more immediate, she acknowledges the evolution of relationships. “It’s all about instant gratification now, the blue ticks on WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat. It’s different, but I don’t complain.”

Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review: Ranveer Singh’s High-Octane Return That Hits and Misses

Namita Lal, an actress and producer, has showcased love in many forms through her work. From her heartfelt performances in Before Life After Death, Lihaaf, Country Of The Blind which stars Hina Khan, Oxygen, and Football - The Goal, and upcoming movie Inn Galiyon Mein which is set to release this month, she has explored love’s complexities on screen. Each project, in its own way, reflects love’s different shades—whether it’s longing, companionship, or self-discovery.

This Valentine's, she humorously points out one universal truth—roses are expensive! “If you’re giving a red rose to someone, you better have enough money to pay for it!” she laughs. As the world celebrates love, Namita Lal reminds us that love isn’t bound by labels or expectations—it’s about appreciating everyone who holds a special place in our hearts.
