Director Kumar Neeraj’s ‘Shelter Home’ cleared by Censor Board, to release on February 20

Mumbai: The highly anticipated film 'Shelter Home', written and directed by Kumar Neeraj, has been cleared by the Censor Board after eight mandated cuts. Based on true events, Shelter Home is now scheduled to release nationwide on the 20th of February.

"Bringing this true story to audiences is our responsibility, and we are honored to finally share it with the world," revealed the ecstatic filmmakers after clearing the final hurdle that of receiving Censor Board's Certificate. The producers have finally confirmed the new release date, marking a significant milestone for the project. Originally slated for release on December 12, 2025, the film faced delays due to its sensitive subject matter that is inspired by the infamous Muzaffarpur shelter home case in Bihar.

The trailer of Shelter Home has taken social media and YouTube by storm, igniting a wave of anticipation among audiences. Led by director Kumar Neeraj, with Gadar-fame cinematographer Najeeb Khan and master choreographer Ganesh Acharya, the powerhouse trio promises a cinematic spectacle. An extraordinary beginning unfolded at Oxford University in London, where the film’s bold storytelling and masterful presentation won resounding acclaim.

Shelter Home is produced by Beena Shah, Munni Singh Vaishali Dev, and Khushboo Singh. The ensemble cast features Rajveer Singh, Akshay Verma, Nazneen Patni, Nishad Raj Rana, Urzan Ichhaporia, Divya Tyagi, Anamika Pandey, Sanisha Maurya, Ashish Singh Chauhan, Jai Prakash Shukla (JP), Anil Kumar Yadav, Navneet Kumar, Deepak Sharma, Prachi Mishra, Dr. Abhinav Srivastava, Rohit Bhardwaj, Shakti Kumar, Manisha Thakur, Sanya Thakur, Raju Kumar, Ravi Rohemiya, Prahvi Pathak, Bobby Sharma, Ram Sujan Singh, Vishwajeet Pratap Singh, K.K.
