After an acclaimed run across twelve major international film festivals, Line of Control marked its Asia Premiere at the prestigious 26th Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai

The film, an adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel The Collaborator, has travelled to prominent festivals including the San Diego International Film Festival, UK Asian Film Festival, Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Jordan, JoBurg Film Festival, Anchorage International Film Festival, Antakya Film Festival in Turkey, and Dances With Films, among others. Its Asia premiere at Kala Ghoda marks a significant homecoming moment in its international journey.

Set against the backdrop of the Kashmir insurgency in 1993, Line of Control follows a teenage boy whose best friend disappears amidst the violence. Determined to find him, the young protagonist is pushed to the edge, confronting impossible choices that test his morality, loyalty, and sense of self. While rooted in the specific political and emotional terrain of Kashmir, the film’s exploration of friendship, loss, and survival resonates universally with audiences across borders.

Line of Control is produced by an all-women producing team: Rashaana Shah and Namrata Sharma of Mulberry Films, and Cristy Coors Beasley of Fabled Frames. The film is executive produced by Chaitra Vedullapalli (Women in Cloud) and Swetha Pakala (CnR Films), highlighting a powerful cross-continental collaboration of women leaders in cinema and technology.
