Rhythm Sanadhya, who is a popular song director, says she connects well with today’s younger generation.
She said, “I am entirely at ease with the younger generation. While we grew up alongside the internet, today’s generation has been immersed in social media from an early age. I genuinely enjoy engaging with young people and often visit university campuses and popular social spaces to gain insight into emerging trends.”
“Social media, in particular, serves as an invaluable tool for staying informed about the evolving ideologies and perspectives of today’s youth,” she added.
She feels that today’s generation often appears restless and impatient. She said, “A consequence, perhaps, of rapidly shifting trends and constant stimulation. In this climate, qualities such as respect for elders, emotional composure, and a grounded approach to life seem to be gradually diminishing.”

“There is great value in pausing—taking time to reflect rather than react. I believe this generation would benefit from a deeper engagement with history and heritage, an understanding of their roots and origins, as well as spending more time immersed in nature, where perspective and calm are more easily restored,” she added.
She emphasized that today’s youth is well-informed, and that gives her hope about this generation. She said, “It’s a reassuring shift; they are deeply aware and truly awake to their individuality and ideologies. They are articulate, outspoken, and fearless in expressing who they are. This confidence gives me immense faith that they are fully capable of shaping not only their own futures, but also that of society at large.”
For Rhythm, success is deeply personal. She said, “It lies in having a happy, proud family and the luxury of peaceful sleep every night. On life’s ledger, I choose happiness far more than sorrow—and that perspective is unwavering. No matter how circumstances evolve, this definition of success will never change.”
But she stressed that failure is important too. She said, “I am ever mindful that, had I not encountered failure on numerous occasions, I might never have achieved the success I enjoy today. Failure is not merely an obstacle but an essential and formative chapter in every true success story.”
“Youth should replace the emotions of failure with feedback to help them weave their life story,” she added.

She also shared a few habits that helped her the most during her early struggles. She said, “Two habits that have remained constant in my life are gratitude and sharing with family. I make it a point to acknowledge and be thankful for whatever I have.”
“For a long time, I consciously listed the best moments of each day, a practice that nurtured a consistently positive outlook on life. Equally important to me is expressing my emotions openly with my family. Sharing my thoughts and feelings has been deeply therapeutic—it feels like a gentle rewiring of the mind. Often, clarity and solutions emerge simply through expression, and this is a practice I continue to value and follow even today,” she added.
She also stressed that mental health plays an important role in her life. She said, “When you’re internally shaken, everything else feels uncertain. That’s why I make it a conscious priority to pamper myself and unwind after every single project—it’s my way of rewarding myself. I function at my best when my mind is calm and centered.”

“My profession demands immense mental and physical resilience, and maintaining inner control is essential to prevent external outbursts. I truly believe that before we fight battles in the world, we must first address the ones within. I encourage everyone to understand and honor their mental health needs and actively pursue what brings them balance. For me, that grounding comes from long walks in fresh air and sound-bath therapy—they help me reconnect, reset, and restore,” she added.
