K-pop sensation SEVENTEEN has once again delivered a spectacular fan meet, showcasing their signature high-energy performances, interactive games, and heartwarming moments with their fans, known as CARATs. The three-day event, titled ‘2023 SVT 7TH FAN MEETING, which was held from March 10 to 12 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, has left fans anticipating another grand year ahead.
The fan meet kicked off with a bang, as SEVENTEEN welcomed their fans with electrifying performances of their hit songs, “Pretty U” and “My My.” The crowd’s energy was lifted even higher with an on-stage iteration of a popular game from their YouTube show ‘GOING SEVENTEEN,’ followed by performances of “Together” and SEVENTEEN’s special unit BSS’ recent hit “Fighting.” The members then competed against each other in a fun game to avoid performing a song from ‘The list of songs that least suit SEVENTEEN,’ bringing laughter and excitement to the audience.
One of the highlights of the fan meet was the highly anticipated ‘UNIT REVERSE’ performances, a signature segment of ‘CARAT LAND.’ The three units within SEVENTEEN each performed a song originally sung by a different unit within the group. The PERFORMANCE unit showcased “Back it up,” the HIP-HOP unit performed “Imperfect love,” and the VOCAL unit wowed the crowd with “PANG!” All 13 members then gathered back on stage for a captivating performance of “DON QUIXOTE.”
The show ended on a touching note as SEVENTEEN and CARATs shared moments of vulnerability during a slideshow of the group’s memories together, and hand-written letters from the members’ parents surprised the members on stage. SEVENTEEN expressed their gratitude for their fans and the memories they have shared, saying, “Seeing these photos remind us how valuable our times together are, and how lucky we are to have our members and fans by our side.”
As the fan meet came to a close, SEVENTEEN revealed their plans for their next album, set to release in April. The members promised that it would be a month to remember, expressing their pride in their work and thanking their fans for their support.
SEVENTEEN has consistently shown their appreciation for their fans through their annual fan meets, which have become a staple in their career. The group held their first fan meet in 2017 and has since then greeted fans with interactive shows filled with performances, games, and talk segments every year.
SEVENTEEN’s popularity has also extended beyond Korea, with the group set to host a 4-day fan meet ‘SEVENTEEN 2023 JAPAN FANMEETING ‘LOVE’ in May, taking over Kyocera Dome Osaka and Tokyo Dome. The upcoming event is a testament to the group’s global influence and dedicated fanbase, showcasing their ability to connect with fans worldwide.
