Wamiqa Gabbi is a household name in Punjab due to her strong presence in Punjabi cinema, but looks like she’s just getting started to be a known for her work across the country. The actor, who ended 2021 by starring in Kabir Khan’s 83, is already halfway through 2022 with projects associated with some of the biggest filmmakers in the industry – two of them being with the ace film-maker, Vishal Bharadwaj. The actor will be seen in the upcoming crime thriller, ‘Khufiya’ opposite Ali Fazal and Tabu along with being a part of one of the stories of the Indian adaptation of the International love anthology, ‘Modern Love Mumbai’ a web-show on Amazon Prime Video; both of these projects are being helmed by Vishal Bharadwaj.
Wamiqa says, “I am half-way through 2022 and it’s already turning out to be a fabulous year for me! With ‘Mai’ getting a phenomenal response from all over, I am all the more excited for what’s more in store in the next half this year, and two of these major projects being with Vishal sir is like a dream come true. I feel fortunate to have gotten the opportunity of working with such an experienced and talented film maker twice already, so early on in my career! The trailer of ‘Modern Love Mumbai’ recently dropped on the internet and has been getting positive responses from all over ever since. The show will be streaming worldwide from 13th May only on Amazon Prime Video.
