Samantha Ruth Prabhu Begins Promotions for Shaakuntalam with an Auspicious Start

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, one of South India’s most sought-after actresses, has begun promotions for her upcoming fairytale-like film, Shaakuntalam. With her last released film ‘Yashoda’ receiving critical acclaim, Samantha has been busy shooting for the Indian version of Citadel, where she will be seen in action sequences shot across parts of India. Despite her busy schedule, Samantha took time out to visit the Sri Peddamma Temple to seek blessings for the beginning of Shaakuntalam’s journey.
In a video shared on social media, Samantha talked about her daily ritual of starting the morning by praying to Devi and how she sought Devi’s blessings for Shaakuntalam’s promotions. Samantha wrote on social media, “The promotions of #Shaakuntalam begins on an auspicious note with the divine blessings of Sri Peddamma Thalli.”
Shaakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar, is a romantic period drama based on the Mahabharata character Shakuntala, played by Samantha. The film also stars Dev Mohan, Aditi Balan, and many others. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the film’s release since it was announced, and the film is now set to release in April.
Apart from Shaakuntalam, Samantha has an exciting lineup of films that fans can look forward to. She will be seen in the Indian version of Citadel, which is an Amazon Prime Video original series produced by the Russo brothers. The series also stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
