On the occasion of Mother’s Day, actor Romiit Raaj who was last seen in the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehalata Hai opened up about the deep bond he shared with his mother and how her presence continues to guide him, even after her passing on 13th July 2022. In an emotional note, Romiit shared that for him, every day is Mother’s Day — a constant reminder of the unconditional love, strength, and wisdom his mother gave him.

I feel she’s home when I’m at work.” For Romiit, her presence is not bound by physical reality — she remains his guiding light and source of strength. “She is my power,” he expressed.
As he reflects on Mother’s Day, Romiit admits feeling a wave of emotions when he sees other people with their mothers. “All mothers should live 100 years,” he said, adding poignantly, “My mother is above God for me.”
Romiit fondly remembered the warmth of his mother’s cooking, a true symbol of her love. Her signature dishes — chicken butter masala, mutton chap, kaali dal, paneer — were among his favorites, and the memories of those meals are etched in his heart.

One of the values she instilled in him continues to define his life. “My mother always told me, ‘Always be honest no matter what.’ That’s something I live by.”
In a touching message to all those who still have their mothers around, Romiit said, “Hold your mother’s hand tight, love her unconditionally, and spend as much time as possible. Don’t take a single moment for granted.”
