Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most iconic and beloved figures in Indian cinema, turns 82 on October 11. With a career spanning over five decades, his influence and legacy are unparalleled in the entertainment industry. Known as the “Shahenshah” of Bollywood, Bachchan’s journey from the ‘Angry Young Man’ of the 1970s to a versatile actor, television host, and cultural icon has been nothing short of extraordinary. Even at 82, his passion for his craft remains undiminished, inspiring generations of actors and fans alike. His life is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and the pursuit of excellence.

Amitabh Bachchan’s life is an inspiration. His resilience, humility, and dedication to his craft are what I admire most. His journey teaches us that perseverance is key to success. When it comes to my favorite films, Sholay and Black top the list. Sholay because it’s an absolute classic, and Black for the raw emotion he brings to the role. But if I had to pick one film I could watch endlessly, it would be Piku. His portrayal of an eccentric, loving, yet difficult father is just too relatable and brilliantly done.

From Amit Ji’s life, I’ve learned the power of reinvention. He’s constantly adapted to changing times, taking on diverse roles and staying relevant in an ever-evolving industry. Even in his 80s, he remains active and passionate about his work. It’s a testament to the fact that age is just a number if you’re truly dedicated to your craft. My favorite films of his include Deewar, Don, and Baghban. Each role shows different shades of his acting prowess. The one film I can watch repeatedly is Anand. His role as Dr. Bhaskar has so much depth, and the emotional weight of the movie always leaves a lasting impact.

Amitabh Bachchan’s life story teaches us that no matter how big the challenges, persistence and self-belief can turn any situation around. He faced health issues, and career slumps, but he never gave up. His ability to keep pushing forward is something I deeply admire. In terms of his films, Agneepath and Sarkar are my favorites. The intensity with which he played both roles is remarkable. The film I can watch again and again, though, is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. His character, Yashvardhan Raichand, is such a commanding presence, and the way he portrays familial values mixed with personal conflicts is just brilliant.

Amitabh Bachchan’s success story is a lesson in resilience and humility. What I admire most is his humility despite being such a megastar. Even after achieving incredible fame, he remained grounded, and that’s something very few people manage to do. His passion for learning and evolving as an actor is truly inspiring. Among my favorite films of his are Don, Sharaabi, and Paa. In Paa, he played such a unique role as Auro, and it’s incredible how he completely transformed himself. But if I had to pick one film to watch repeatedly, it would be Black. His portrayal of a mentor dealing with Alzheimer’s was simply heart-wrenching and impactful.

Shiwani Chakraborty
Amit Ji’s life is a blueprint for overcoming obstacles. His ability to turn failures into stepping stones for success is something I’ve learned from. He faced career lows, financial troubles, and even physical challenges, but none of it stopped him from reaching the top again.I absolutely love Zanjeer and Piku. Zanjeer because it gave rise to the iconic ‘angry young man’ persona, and Piku because it’s such a heartwarming film that shows the complexities of father-daughter relationships. One film I can watch on repeat is Sholay. His performance as Jai is subtle yet powerful, and the film itself is a timeless masterpiece.

Saanand Verma
Amitabh Bachchan sir’s life journey is one I truly connect with on a personal level. He’s faced some incredibly tough moments, from financial difficulties to major health scares, yet he’s always come back stronger. That’s something I deeply relate to—how life can knock you down, but if you stay focused and determined, you can rise again. When it comes to his films, Zanjeer and Sarkar have always stood out to me. His commanding presence in both is unforgettable. But the one film that truly holds a personal connection is Anand. The bond of friendship in that film, and the way Amitabh portrayed his character’s vulnerability, has left a lasting impact on me.

Amitabh Bachchan’s story feels like a reflection of what many of us experience in life—ups and downs, moments of doubt, and then finding the strength to keep going. His ability to stay grounded while facing immense challenges has always inspired me. He shows that true success is about resilience, not just fame or wealth. Personally, Anand has a special place in my heart. Watching him as Dr. Bhaskar, I felt an emotional connection that has stayed with me ever since. Another favorite is Baghban, which hits home when I think about the importance of family. If I had to pick one movie to rewatch, it would be Piku. It’s light-hearted yet meaningful, much like the everyday moments in life we often take for granted.
