Chitra Vakil Sharma on celebrating her daughter’s birthday: Such celebrations give us the time we need with our close ones

Producer Chitra Vakil Sharma recently celebrated her daughter Tanvi Sharma’s birthday at a favourite eatery. Chitra says that even though there are fewer cases of Covid, they made sure to follow guidelines and didn’t invite too many people.

“We celebrated my daughter’s 12th birthday on Sunday and the guest list mainly included my closest friends and family. We kept it very intimate, following the Covid protocols. We had a few guests in attendance including Rohini, Chandni Soni, and Nivedita Basu with their children,” she says, adding, “We had Italian cuisine as it is my daughter’s favourite. The arcade at Chuck E Cheese, where we had the celebration, was a really good attraction for the kids, everyone enjoyed themselves so much, and the food was great too, not just the kids, but everyone loved it.”

The producer says that she makes sure to celebrate these milestones well within the family. “It is very important for me because such celebrations give us the time we need with our close ones as everyone gets busy and these are the ways to spend quality time with your people. And let’s not forget how special the person feels surrounded by their loved ones,” she says.

 

Her sister, Rohini Vakil, who is a lawyer also made sure to come, says Chitra, adding, “Despite such heavy rains Rohini made sure to come as the celebration wouldn’t have been complete without her. Also, Nivi is like family too, she came with both her daughters, and I am so grateful.”
